National University

I am proud to say that I have completed an IB diploma program at my high school which is not very common. Most schools offer advanced placement (AP) course. IB courses more than prepare you for AP exams and require more intense grading.  The International Baccalaureate program aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programs of international education and rigorous assessment. These programs encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right. DP students are better able than their peers to cope with demanding workloads, manage their time and meet the expectations placed on them. Analysis of DP students in Canada, the UK and the USA found that the DP’s extended essay improves students’ approach to learning in higher education. 72% of students taking the DP in China attend one of the world’s top 500 universities, according to a 2013 study.
