During my tenure as both the Aviation Logistics Information Management Systems division chief and network support division NCOIC aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Eduardo was a steadfast technician and a staple of excellence in our work center. Eduardo meticulously strove to obtain as many advanced qualifications as he possibly could to undertake the multiple endeavors required to ensure the security and operations of our systems. He embodied not only the principles and behavior of a Marine, but also the tenants of an expert systems administrator and information systems security officer. Not many people are as intelligent, persistent, and creative as Eduardo. Eduardo was one of my classmates at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. We were part of a program transitioning from the military program called MSSSA (Microsoft Software and Systems Academy). The program focused on C#, T-SQL, MVC (Model, View, Controller), and Azure. Eduardo was one of the best students in the class and demonstrated an aptitude for all of these technologies and Eduardo was helpful and appreciated by all of his classmates. Eduardo's capacity to communicate complex concepts in ways that anyone could understand is a skill that is vital for any member of an IT team.

The IT training Eduardo received while serving in the Marines gave him an advantage and unique perspective to our projects and assignments. The MSSA program was a high-stress and fast-paced program that required hard-work and focus. Not only did Eduardo thrive in this high-stress environment, but he was also finishing a degree from another university simultaneously while remaining committed focused on the MSSA program.
